Subject Description

Teacher in Charge: Ben Rogers.

This course will suit students interested in a career as a Health professional (eg: doctors, nurses, counselors, psychologists). The course will look at range of adolescent health issues such as alcohol, drugs, sexual health and mental health. We will also look at factors that help/prevent people from being affected by these issues. Students will take action by promoting health within the school and critique how health messages are presented to the public. If students are aiming to attend med school at university, they must also complete 2 other Science courses.
