Te Reo Māori (Y13)
Subject Description
Teacher in Charge: Jason Va'a.
Te Reo Māori is the primary mode of communication at this level. Students are researching, telling stories and presenting ideas about their world and issues which affect them from the past, present and future. Our senior students are leaders of te reo Māori, tikanga Māori in the school and they are exercising tino rangatiratanga to bring transformative change. They are developing their oratory skills on the Ngā Manu Kōrero stage. Kia mau, kia māia, kia ita ki tō huarahi ki te ao Māori! Manawatia te reo Māori!
